I spent another full week writing last week and promised myself I would finish my manuscript. I've set and reset target dates, time and time again, and can't seem to get it done. Well this week I can officially say that's it's wrapped - I have some minor edits I can begin making off the top of my head and a small section near the end that needs polishing. Then I will begin my first Author Revision Pass (Second Draft).

You can follow the project using my progress tracker.

It's been very helpful for me and I thought some of my readers might find it interesting? Let me know what you think using my contact form.

I've also interviewed my son, Adrian, to get his perspective on a few events that took place - I've had trouble recalling certain events and locales as a result of the trauma and my recollection of these specific moments is sketchy. He was able to help fill in a lot of the blanks for me.

If all goes to plan, I can begin my first re-read in the next few days, I'm really curious to read the beginning again, as it's been almost 2 years since I wrote it and I haven't read it since. The current word count is 128,417 words. I imagine I'll be adding about 5000-7000 more to that before I begin my review.
