I knew it would be challenging, but I had no idea just how much. While I'm constantly mindful of what's going on around me, I'm hyper-focused on finishing the book. I have extended the deadline for the manuscript twice already and may have to once again.

I had initially wanted it for August 31, 2024, then December 31, 2024 and now March 31, 2025 and although I'm getting closer I still find myself battling demons along the way.

Anxieties, nightmares, upsets and altered plans elsewhere in my life that all have incalculable effects on my writing timeline - worst of all, distractions - each new one being hurled at me with more frequency, repetition and intensity as I am getting closer to the finish line (of the manuscript).

Someone or something doesn't want this book published and is going out of their way to make certain it doesn't happen.

If there is only one thing I have learned throughout all of this, it is to 'Be still' (Psalm 46:10). The battle is already won, I just have to finish the race. To trust and believe that His timing, and not mine, is the perfect timing.

Just like Dubai, in hindsight, I see Him everywhere, in everything, circumstance, timing, people, places and things.

The book will definitely be completed, perhaps just not when I want it to be.

All that being said, I suspect I will be pushing the date back for the completion of the manuscript further, another month, to April 31, 2025. Prayer warriors, keep me in your thoughts!
